DESIGN PROCESS

How does the design process begin?

Once we have had an inital meeting, consultation questionaire and site measure to discuss what you what like to do I will crreate some sketches of concepts.

Lets use a laundry for this example.

The above is a basic concept floor plan, during the design phase you will usually receive 3 concept sketches to choose from.

Once you have chosen your inital sketch, I convert that sketch to our Computer software. Which helps me create floor plans of your design. The software Avidity uses is industry standard. When council, certifers or engineers ask for floor plans they usually mean computer aided floor plans, not sketches.

Next stage is elevations, this helps everyone meaning designers, builders, joiners, plumbers, electricains etc understand where things are located and the height to which they are located. This also give the client a good understanding of how the layout looks vertical.

Now comes the fun. I create some 3D coloured images to show you the feel for the space. Sometimes our clients cannot visualise space on paper and need to see it as if they were standing in the room. This is where 3D visuals help. This stage is optional but recommened.

Next comes the photo realistic renders, this stage is honestly my favourite. Creating these coloured rendered images give you the client the best visual aid in your design. See a few more renders below.
